According to the German Weather Service (DWD), last year's average annual temperature of 10.6 °C was the highest ever recorded for Germany as a whole.
The weather records for 2023 by the DWD at the Berge test station confirm the warming trend that has been ongoing for at least 70 years. During this time, it has become an average of approx. 2.6 °C warmer. A temperature of 10.98 °C and total precipitation of 678 mm were measured for 2023. It is unclear why Havelland has warmed up more than other places on earth. Incidentally, there has been no long-term change in the amount of precipitation.
